Better to be safe and on solid ground.

Safe, secure solutions are always our first concern. This is why we recommend our pile load testing services prior to foundation design.

Where practical, the load test pile, installation equipment, and installation procedure should be identical to those intended for production piles. Shore performs load tests for a variety of foundations including H-piles, helical piles, pipe piles, timber piles, micropiles, minipiles, tiebacks, and more.

We take safety seriously for you, your clients, and our team.

  • ASTM D-1143 COMPRESSION TEST

The ASTM D-1143, Standard Test for Piles Under Static Axial Compressive Load Method is applicable to to driven or drilled pile types.

This test measures the axial deflection of an individual vertical or inclined deep foundation element when loaded in static axial compression.

Results can also provide information used to assess the distribution of side shear resistance along the pile shaft and the long term load-deflection behavior.

A foundation designer may review the test results to determine whether or not the piles have an ultimate static capacity to support a specific foundation.

  • ASTM D-4945 DYNAMIC LOAD TEST WITH PDA

The ASTM D-4945, Standard Test Method for High-Strain Dynamic Testing of Deep Foundations test method confirms both the velocity and the force induced in a pile during an axial impact and foundation bearing capacity.

We partner with our clients and their engineers to conduct testing, which most often is conducted during the initial during of any pile.

When Pile Driving Analyzer (PDA) equipment is set up and utilized we are able to measure the capacity and integrity of the piles themselves, as well as “pile to soil to hammer” performance during the driven pile installation technique.

The PDA data collected will be able to be integrated into detailed report by your engineer.

  • ASTM D-3699 LATERAL LOAD TEST

The ASTM D-3699, Standard Test Methods for Deep Foundations Under Lateral Load test provides the most reliable relationship between the lateral load applied to a deep foundation and the resulting lateral movement.

Results can also be used to determine and assess the distribution of the lateral resistance along the pile shaft, as well as the long-term load-deflection behavior.

A foundation designer can review the results to determine whether or not the piles have a satisfactory ultimate lateral capacity.

  • ASTM D-3689 TENSION LOAD TEST

A static axial tension load test measures axial deflection of a vertical or inclined load.

Shore Systems Group has performed tension load tests using an overhead reaction beam and frame to test many different piles.
