Helical Piles: Weehawken, NJ
Shore Systems Group L.L.C. was called in by colleagues to respond to a lead on an emergency job calling for seven CHANCE® helical piles immediately due to soil destabilization and land sliding from soaking rains during a torrential summer storm. After speaking with our client, the GC on the project, we geared up with our hand-installation tools and machines to tackle this limited access helical pile job, safely and pronto!
For our experienced crews, this part of the job was simple and quickly completed. What we didn’t predict was how this job would turn into one of our largest projects of the year in 2020. In New Jersey, Weehawken, and many communities like it, were built long ago on land that has become vulnerable to landslides and destabilization.
